I got to know Ben when I moved back to Norfolk aged 12 and we went through high school as friends. I remember going round to his house with a small group of friends to play computer games. He had an Amiga (back in the early 90s this was the best!) and I vividly remember playing a football game with him and somehow I managed to get my goalkeeper to score an overhead own goal which cause much amusement amongst the group and I got stick for this for weeks!
Ben was always good fun to be around and was extremely generous. Although we drifted apart after high school (as we chose different routes post high school) I always included him amongst my best friends from that time of life.
I feel lucky to have known Ben and feel very sad that he has been taken away at such a young age. Having read through many comments and stories on here and Facebook it seems that he brought light and fun to many peoples lives.
RIP Ben - my time at high school would not have been the same without you.
